These are a few of my achievements as recognised by the Guinness World Records Book.

August 2018
After an absence of some seven years I'm delighted to say that I am back In the book.
My entry refers to appearing at "The Big Bang Fair"
March 2018

After several years absence from the good book I am loud and proud to say that I have been included in the latest publication from Guinness World Records.

Released in The UK in March 2018 it's titled SCIENCE&STUFF" and it's about, as you'd probably guess, science and stuff.
The book takes a more in depth and scientific look at some of the more amusing records whilst at the same time being educational.

Further to being included in the book I was invited to attend "The Big Bang Fair"

October 2014

Guinness World Records invited several mummybloggers and their children to attend their Drummond Street HQ in London.

I was lucky enough to also be invited together with my wife Leyla and our daughter Leah.
Also in attendance were several other record holders.

It was a celebration of the book being in publication for 60 years.

The mummybloggers are basically mums that publish an online journal on whatever takes their fancy.
We were given the opportunity to view the offices and the various interesting items on display.

A fantastic spread of food was laid on by our hosts including these brilliant cupcakes.

After grub, us record holders were invited to show off our respective talents for the mummybloggers.
We had a robot that was able to solve a rubics cube in record time.
We also had a BMX record holder demonstrating his skills in the rather confined space of the kitchen.
Of course I then had to demonstrate, well it would have been rude not to.
I got mixed reaction from the mummybloggers although I think I managed to leave most of them suitably disgusted.
There was then an opportunity for an official  attempt at breaking a record.
It was an attempt at wrapping a Guinness World Records book in the fastest time.
Having all failed miserably we were then invited outside to see two more record holders in action.
We saw the smallest habitable caravan and also the fastest shopping trolley.
Both were very impressive but the latter was amazing, very noisy and extremely fast.

This was a very enjoyable afternoon and we all had a brilliant time.

Here are a few Pictures too.

February 2013

On the 12th, I appeared in the Cambridge show and on the 22nd at Southend.

This was a nationwide tour showcasing many scientific records in which audience participation
enabled numerous records to be set and broken.
Great News !!!
I'm back in the Book. Next up the Olympics as a new Sport, Eh !!

Monday 23rd April 2012.

I today paid a visit to the London Headquarters of Guinness World Records. It was great to see the guys again and also to meet some of the newer members of the crew.

This was my first visit to their Drummond Street office, and I was made to feel very welcome.

It was good to speak again to Craig Glenday, "The editor in chief", and whilst there he conducted an interview with me. Of course I could not leave without a demonstration.

This was an unsuccessful record attempt, not my finest hour although the distance from me to the decibel meter was incorrect, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

These are a few of my Certificates

05/04/2000   118.1 DB

This was my first attempt where I beat the American guy. If you watch the Video below, you will notice that I burp almost straight into the decibel metre which was deemed legal at the time.

In the meantime Guinness World Records had decided that any further attempts at this record should be measured at a distance of 2.5 metres and that I should reset my record. (If I had not done so I think my record would have stood for ever as under the new rules and regs 118.1db would have been nearly impossible to beat). I therefore set a then record of 104.9db at GWR'S London HQ.
No Video Evidence of this event.
I was invited onto The Paul O'Grady show to attempt to beat my record, this I did at 107.1db.

This was the big one at Butlins where I had to regain my record. Smashed it 109.9db.
No Video Evidence of this event.

These are the rules and regs as stated by Guinness
World Records for the loudest burp record.
